SwimRI is a social network and New England Masters Swim Club workout group consisting of competitive and recreational adult swimmers in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts.
We practice at pools and beaches throughout Rhode Island, including Bryant University, Fox Point Boys & Girls Club, East Providence Boys & Girls Club, Pods Swimming Aquatic Center, St. George's School, Naval Station Newport, and South County YMCA. Depending on the venue and season, some pool workouts are run by on-deck coaches and others are swimmer-led. Popular summer training venues include Kendbrin Swim Club (outdoor pool), Barrington Beach, Sachuest Beach, and Mackeral Cove. Narragansett Town Beach is noteworthy for hosting up to 80 swimmers per training swim during the summer, the largest open-water group in New England. See SwimRI.org for seasonal practice schedules.
